my story

I'm a curious writer with a love for food, our world and the diverse communities that exist all over it. I'm currently based in Bangkok, Thailand, where I am working as the features editor at Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia magazine and eating all the street food before it disappears.

In 2017, my joint online project with photographer Leigh Griffiths, Strangertalk, won Best Travel Blog and Blog of the Year in the Saveur Blog Awards. Strangertalk is an online photo journal that  aims to tell the travel stories that aren’t being told – the stories of locals passionately fostering their history and traditions, of recipes and crafts being passed down from generation to generation, and capturing the day-to-day moments that exist within any culture and community.

I began my career in Sydney, Australia, as a digital editor and food and travel writer. I've led a digital editorial team at Yahoo!7, worked my dream job exploring the cultural food history of our country at the now retired SBS Feast Magazine and managed the digital and social platforms for Donna Hay magazine.
